Fashion sneakers remained an enduring trend on the runways for Spring 2015- here’s why that’s a great thing!
Gone are the days when sneakers were just for athletes and fitness enthusiasts, and rightfully so with all the stylish options we have available now!
While fashion sneakers didn’t necessarily dominate the runway this spring, they certainly maintained a strong presence, as established in previous seasons. But I won’t complain- any excuse to wear some comfortable flats is fine by me!
What I love most about fashion sneakers is their versatility. They’re shoes that can take you from a workout, to errands, to just about anything!
Feeling edgy? You could also pair your fashion sneakers with a flowy A-line skirt to add a punk-y vibe to an otherwise girly silhouette.
I’m not suggesting you ditch the heels entirely (like the photo above) BUT it wouldn’t hurt to give your feet a break and embrace the trend while it lasts! Here are some cute, versatile options that are as chic are they are sustainable.
These chocolate brown kicks look oh-so-comfy with their orthotic footbeds… and some recycled rubber outsoles so you won’t slip!
The super stylish (and therefore, super versatile) black laser-cut sneakers are biodegradable, made of vintage leather, and include some recycled leather. An all-around winner, if you ask me!
These black sneakers are simple and understated enough to wear with just about anything. AND they’re vegan!
The beige and blue trainers might just be my favorite for their neutral tone with a pop of bright color! The company that makes them also has a strong commitment to make all of their footwear vegan and cruelty-free.
No list of sustainable products is complete without Made in the USA brand American Apparel. This time, I’m crushing on their basic white tennis shoes. They come in a variety of colors, but I like to keep it neutral for maximum versatility!
