Home Decor: Cozy Handmade Finds for Winter

rag rug

Baby, it’s cold outside! When the weather gets chilly, I always get inspired to make my home a little bit cozier. The sparse decor that was perfect in summer and worked well in the fall just doesn’t feel inviting during the dark days of winter.

When the sun starts setting early and temperatures drop, I want to brighten up my space with bold yet comfy accents. The problem with shopping at the big box store is that so much of the home decor items are made in sweatshops using less-than-eco materials. Who wants that in their living room?

Not only will a few strategic home decor items make your house cozier, they’ll help warm and brighten the room, so you won’t have to turn up the heat or use so many extra lights. You’ll save on energy and reduce your carbon footprint a bit at the same time.

I scoured Etsy to come up with some handmade home decor finds for winter that are eco-friendly to boot!
