I cannot believe that Valentine’s Day is, ahem, this Saturday. And, if you’re like me, in preparation for this holiday, you may (may have) picked up a package of Big Hero 6 Valentine cards for the kiddos, but that’s about it. I’m telling you, though, the folks at Crafting a Green World and Eat Drink Better have got your covered. And, just for the record, I’ve got a few tricks up my sleeve too. 1) DIY body products. My faves for my guy are aftershave (try this recipe for classic Bay Rum aftershave, originally posted on Crafting a Green World), deodorant, or a nice manly sugar scrub. Store the products in 8-ounce mason jars with tight-fitting lids and gift them all together for a fantastic DIY Valentine basket o’ love.
2) Consumables! I’m a sucker for a gift which will eventually take up zero space or will give back exponentially. Make a sweet little herb planter if your love is culinarily inclined. Check out these adorable DIY planters and keep these helpful tips in mind when growing herbs indoors.
3) Donate. Donate to charity on your loved-one’s behalf, or you might even consider a sustainability-minded Kickstarter campaign (Tipton’s Niptons is still on for a few more days and is suitably sexy, yet goofy, just in time for Valentine’s Day).
