Offset Warehouse: Your Resource for Sustainable Textiles and Eco-Fabrics

Threads OffsetWarehouse

When it comes to creating sustainable and eco products, finding sustainable textiles and fabrics can take a huge amount of time and research.

Offset Warehouse’s goal is to get the whole world to buy ethically, so their company has set out to make it easy by doing all the sourcing for you!

Here are four of their best fabrics:

Cornflower organic voile is organic certified, animal cruelty free, azo-free, fair wage, low energy, low impact dyes, low water and free of genetically modified crops. On trend with the cerulean colors we’re seeing for next season, the cornflower organic voile is a little heavier than your usual voile but still incredibly lightweight, airy and breathable.  Unlike some suppliers, Offset Warehouse keeps everything in stock, so fashion and interior designers can purchase their metres for sampling and then come back for wholesale purchases a few weeks or even months down the line.

Fine Organic Percal is ideal for items such as aprons, bags, belts and soft furnishings. Even though this fabric is woven by hand, it has an even texture to it – almost sateen-like – and a crisp weight that makes it really easy to work with.

Bamboo Cotton Organic Stretch is ultra soft interlocking made of 70% bamboo pulp fiber and 30% organic cotton.  It comes in its natural, undyed colour which is just slightly off white.  Lightweight and soft, with a heavy body and luxurious feel, it has been described as feeling like a cashmere and silk blend. Bamboo is naturally antibacterial and

Silk Charmeuse is jet black and shimmery on one side and matt on the other, with a textured surface, brought to it by the hemp content. Perfect for some luxe cushions or a draping dress.

Some additional features of Offset:

• All products either benefit the people who make them, the people who handle them or the planet- and often all three.

• All of Offset’s products are hand picked and fairly-produced.
