The treat season ’tis upon us. So, how long does it really take to burn off holiday calories?
The holidays are right around the corner. And they are bringing their deliciously naughty treats with ‘em. So, how long does it take to burn off holiday calories?
So many people dread the holidays simply over what it can potentially do to their waist line. You work hard most the year only to wreck it over a five week period? Not if you stick to a plan.
FitSugar offers a super interesting chart that breaks down how long it takes to run off each tasty treat. Looks like that means a few pieces of fudge can be melted off fairly easily. Notice burning the Pumpkin Spice Latte is going to take up most of your run. Try these better for you, and better tasting, tips to a healthier PSL.
More tips to prevent holiday pounds:
Choose Wisely. Rather than the party now pay later approach, eat only those items you truly love and skip the rest.
Real Deal or No Deal. Rather than two pieces of fat free fruit cake or a huge cup of artificially sweetened cocoa (gross!), have one of the real thing. Much more satisfying.
Party Not Pantry. If you love gingerbread, don’t keep a hearty supply in your pantry. Instead, take a package to a holiday party, have one (takes only 21 minutes to burn!) and leave the rest for other guests. You get your fix but not the added inches.
Remember to Enjoy. Your social calendar sees a lot more action this time of year. Embrace it. Own the fact that you will most likely indulge during the season, choose wisely, and really enjoy each and every treat.
