Strip Away Unwanted Hair Naturally

So, most of us are waxing something these days.  Whether your eyebrows, bikini area or some other unmentionable, you may wax via a professional or even in your own home.

Admittedly, I did start with professional waxing (eyebrows are as far as I go) but after a few sketchy results, decided to take on this grooming ritual myself.  And I do not mind a bit.  It is easy to get the hang of, you can get the look you want without having to explain it to someone else, and can deal with the temporary redness while sleeping rather than walking around that way for a day.

That said, I was uncomfortable with the ingredients in the product I was using.  And then, along came MOOM.  Made with USDA certified 100% Organic and beneficial food-grade ingredients: Cane sugar, Lemon Juice, Chamomile Tea, and essential oils.  This hair remover has the consistency of honey and smells like something you could spread on toast.

Comes in a variety of scents for different skin types; Tea Tree, Rose and Lavender.  The kit includes reusable fabric strips, wooden applicators and an instruction booklet that you will want to read before use.

It does take a bit of getting used to if you are new to self-waxing.  First off, and very important, do not overheat the product.  It will burn your skin.  Warm slowly and check often.  Next, apply the sugar wax in a very thin strip.  This step is very important, as the wax seemed to do nothing when I applied it too thick.  You will need to practice a bit with the strips to get it down, but it is super satisfying to see smooth, hairless skin appear instantly.  Skin stays hair free for up to two months, and with repeated use, the hair growth will be finer and sparser.

MOOM now also offers pre-waxed strips which helps to take some of the guess work out of the process.  Perfect for beginners or those on the go.

Personally, I cannot tolerate waxing the underarms or bikini.  But I know many women who swear by it, so I must just be extra sensitive there.  My bottom line is:  MOOM is amazing on eyebrows and I will probably go to the extra effort on my legs in the summer months.

And, just in case your special someone is a bit too hairy, MOOM makes a product for men too.

  1. personally I prefer to epilate with an electric Epilator. It may hurt ther first time that you do it but as with the waxing strips, the hair gets thinner and sparser with continued use. Both methods are good but the electricepilator gets rid of the hair with no mess Whereas I found the “waxing” to create some. also you will have to heat the wax up as told before and as I have found out to my peril got it too hot as well. The trouble with the electric epilator it does tend to make your skin slightly red but if done over night the redness fades whilst sleeping. Both methods though are basically the same and I would use the waxing if I was ever out and had to do it (cold wax strips) and if at home the electric.

  2. also if you use the electric epilator you do not suffer the same allergic reactions that I had to the Chemicals (not MOOM) that the epilation wax contained. If MOOM is as good as reported then you will not get the same reactions to using it.

  3. Friends, even I too suffered from the same problem. Unwanted hair sticking out from my nose. I was scared to use a nose hair trimmer coz I heard its a painful experience but when I found best nose hair trimmer all my fears were washed away. I really feel good now and my nose looks better than ever.
Thanks to Best nose hair trimmer………………..
