When luminizer, otherwise known as highlighter, first hit the beauty scene many women didn’t know what they were supposed to do with this beauty product. Now that almost everyone has a luminizer in their beauty kit, the mystery is sort of solved.
There is no quicker or simpler way to get instant radiance than with a great facial luminizer. And guess what? You can also get healthy moisture and some truly stellar skin nourishing if you happen to choose the right one.
My favorite happens to be RMS Living Luminizer from RMS Beauty. Love the stuff. Like the rest of the oh-so-simple-yet-totally-glam line, Living Luminizer is all natural, made with organic ingredients and free from any junk. It is also super smooth and gives the just-right touch of luminescence without leaning even the slightest bit toward being glittery.
So, obviously, you use this type of products on cheeks. But I don’t want you to miss out on all of its amazing benefits. Following is a list of other ways to use your luminizer:
Brighten eyes. I like to dab a little LL under my eyes, on top of my concealer. This really brightens up an otherwise sort of dingy spot.
Hit the high spots. Adding a touch of luminizer to the main areas where light hits your face accents the right stuff. Apply to inside and outside corners of eyes, bridge of nose, bow of lips, and top of forehead. If things look too luminized, simply dust with powder. You still get the radiant effects, but takes the edge off.
As lipgloss. Truly, so many makeup products can turn into a good lipgloss, even if they did not begin that way. A friend turned me on to this trick of applying luminizer to lips. Gives that natural, slightly hippie vibe (in a good way, promise) that is all modern.
Not just for face. It’s almost summer, and with that comes showing more skin. Be sure to hit your collarbones and shoulders with some highlighter. Trust me on this one.
Two more natural highlighters worth an honorable mention; Ilia Beauty Illuminator and Vapour Organic Beauty Stratus Instant Skin Perfector.
