Feelgood Quickie: Vacation Rehab

feelgood quickie header logo

Vacation can be oh so relaxing.  A nice break from your daily/weekly routine.

But vacation can also take a toll on your skin and body.  We often come home with great memories – AND breakouts, flakiness, craggy nails, and a little extra jiggle.  It is amazing how one quick week can make you feel more flab than fab.

Well, think of the week you get home as mind/body boot camp.  You have to get your life back in order, right? (groceries, mail pile, email glut)…why not take this time to revamp yourself too.

Drink lots of water to filter out all of those high-fat foods you ate on vaca (you know you did it!) and rehydrate tired skin and nails.

Go without makeup as often as you can this week to give skin a breather.

Give nails a new breath of life too.  The first thing I did the night we got back was strip the polish off my toes, and give them a good soak and scrub.  Ahhhh!

When you go to the supermarket to restock the fridge and pantry, opt for only healthy foods and organic produce.  Even if you don’t always eat organic fruits and veg, splurge this week for a little extra TLC.

Speaking of cleansing the system, have any of you done the Skinnygirl Daily Cleanse & Restore by Bethenny Frankel?  We’d love to know your thoughts on the subject!
