We have a good one for you this week!\u00a0 It may not sound like fun now, but Weekend Workout Challenge is a great way to get you back on track to fitness.\u00a0 Will you take it with us?<\/h3>\n

It happens this time every year.\u00a0 The signs of the workout slack-off of December and January begin to show.<\/p>\n

Does this happen to you too?<\/p>\n

I\u2019d been feeling so run down, tired, and (I\u2019ll say it) grumpy.\u00a0 I\u2019d also been feeling like cramming every junky food I could find into my mouth.\u00a0 They seem to go hand-in-hand \u2013 less exercise and less healthy eating habits.<\/p>\n

Well, last week when I took the kids to their swim team at our gym, I forced myself to get on the treadmill\u2026and stay on.\u00a0 It wasn\u2019t easy, but I did it.\u00a0 And I felt so incredible afterward that I couldn\u2019t believe I\u2019d been dodging it these last several weeks.<\/p>\n

Try Something New\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong> It really doesn\u2019t take that long to get used to a new workout.\u00a0 Sometimes it is as easy as switching things up.\u00a0 Maybe you are tired of your spin class \u2013 look into Zumba.\u00a0 Lots of people are training for a marathon right now \u2013 you don\u2019t have to actually run the marathon to do the training.\u00a0 Having trouble staying motivated?\u00a0 Maybe you need a gym buddy.\u00a0 You meet them there (it is harder to stand up someone else) and then grab a coffee afterward as a treat.\u00a0 I love coffee after a run, and knowing that I get to have one is big time motivation to get my butt on the treadmill.<\/p>\n

Time Crunch\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong> Is time an issue for you when it comes to exercise?\u00a0 Waking up even earlier or cramming it in at the end of a long day (when all you want to do is relax or sleep) may seem impossible.\u00a0 Maybe you are a weekend warrior for the time being, going for a jog or hitting the gym on your days off.\u00a0 You know what they say \u2013 no matter how slow you go, you are still lapping everybody on the couch!<\/p>\n

Short & Sweet\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong> Last week\u2019s GOOP newsletter included a 15 minute workout by Tracy Anderson<\/a>.\u00a0 I\u2019ve been doing this a few times a week and, let me tell you, it may be only 15 minutes but it will get the job done.\u00a0 If you are not familiar with the Tracy Anderson Method<\/a>, she is trainer to the stars and does not mess around when it comes to burning flab and toning up.<\/p>\n

Are you up for a Weekend Workout Challenge?<\/strong>\u00a0 That\u2019s it, just one weekend and I promise you will want more.\u00a0 Get yourself to the gym, get outside in the fresh air, get on YouTube and do the Tracy Anderson 15 minute workout.\u00a0 Just get moving.\u00a0 Remember to eat right to gear up for your workout<\/a>, and don\u2019t over-do-it if you are just starting out or have been on a break.\u00a0 Can\u2019t wait to hear how it goes\u2026<\/p>\n
