My first venture with green smoothies was last year, and it came with pros and cons.\u00a0 Pros:\u00a0 getting in more of the green stuff, feeling great, getting to drink breakfast (or lunch\u2026).\u00a0 Cons:\u00a0 buying fresh produce every few days, having some not-so-yummy outcomes, and same old every day.<\/p>\n

If I\u2019d had 40 Days of Green Smoothies<\/em> <\/a>back then, the experience would have been a lot different.\u00a0 First off, I would have had a produce buying plan, which would have helped immensely.\u00a0 Becky shares a list for the beginning of each week.\u00a0 You purchase the items that last at the very beginning (flax meal, chia seeds), frozen fruit lasts because it is, well, frozen, and you just restock a few perishables at the beginning of each week.\u00a0 Easy and affordable, not to mention efficient.<\/p>\n

Then there are the recipes.\u00a0 Becky provides you with a new flavor combo every day for 6 weeks, to get you going and keep things interesting.\u00a0 Do you eat the same thing for breakfast every day?\u00a0 Me too.\u00a0 Wouldn\u2019t it be fun to have something new each morning, especially something that seems like a treat?\u00a0 I\u2019m in! No more staring down the barrel of something that tastes vaguely of apple and significantly of kale.<\/p>\n

Becky\u2019s recipes include everything from cocoa to mango, all with that special green ingredient goodness.\u00a0 My favorite is week #3 when we add fresh ginger.\u00a0 And the recipes are all vegan.<\/p>\n

Even kids will love these smoothies.\u00a0 A green smoothie may scare them off, but one that tastes like chocolate banana or tropical smoothie \u2013 they\u2019ll be all over it.<\/p>\n
