"colored

Colored jeans seem to have taken over the shelves! From pastels to bright jewel tones, colored denim is a great way to add a punch to your spring/summer wardrobe in an unexpected way.

Staying true to your eco-friendly buying habits while staying on trend can be tough but luckily there are some great eco options. Recycled materials, natural dying processes, and sustainability are some of the ways that these companies set themselves apart from the rest of the fashion world! Here are 4 of my favorite colored jeans in an array of beautiful colors just in time for summer.

"coral

1. Coral Skinnies

Coral is a fantastic color for spring/summer and pairs well with an array of colors. These skinnies, from Reuse Jeans, are made with 70% recycled cotton and have 2% spandex for added comfort.

Try pairing these with a white peasant blouse and tan wedges to highlight the great color of the jeans! All of the other Reuse Jeans styles are made from 80% recycled cotton and have just a little bit of spandex. I love the skirt options that they have available as well as the denim vests in some great colors!

Next >> Double Cuffed Berkeley Shorts

"doublecuffed

2. Berkeley Shorts

M2F Brand Denims uses an eco-friendly dying process that eliminates all toxic substances and a chemical free yarn for all of their jeans!

These Berkeley shorts are a cute and casual way to stay cool and comfortable this summer. You can choose from 16 different colors, Passionfruit or Watermelon would be great for a bright palette while Starflower or Lilac are a little more subdued. M2F has an extensive range of styles to pick from as well, so there is nearly something for everyone in the colored jean trend. You can even get a great denim jacket for the chilly spring evenings in all of the same great colors available for the jeans!

Next >> Sea Foam Jeggings

"chica

3. Chica Jegging in Beach Glass

These sea foam green jeggings, from Agave Denim, are a more subtle way to try out the colored jean trend without going too far outside of the box. The pastel shade is great for spring and can still add color to your wardrobe in a more subdued way. These jeggings would look great paired with a patterned top and neutral shoes!

Agave Denim was founded in 2002 in Santa Monica, California with the intention to create beautiful denim in a sustainable way using the best materials. All of the denim is designed in Portland and handcrafted in California from Supima cotton, which is grown within California’s San Joaquin Valley! From beginning to end, no attention to detail is spared.

Next >> Electric Blue Flares

"electric

4. Electric Blue Flares

If skinny jeans aren’t your favorite style, you’re in luck! Monkee Genes creates a flared colored jean in electric blue that calls to your inner hippie. They also make a chino style of pant that comes in a nice variety of colors, from lemon sorbet to salmon pink!

The Monkee Genes brand has accreditation from The Soil Association and the Global Organic Textile Standards. The Soil Association ensures that every stage of the process is examined in the making of the jeans including the growth of the cotton and the content of their buttons! The Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) is the worldwide leading textile processing standard for organic fibers.

What do you think about the colored denim trend? Do you like the brighter hues or the pastel shades? Do you plan on wearing the trend this spring/summer? I’d love to hear what you think about the look and what your favorite eco-friendly jean brands are.
