As a Montana native for 24 years, my skin is certainly no stranger to harsh, dry winter conditions and the need for daily lotion (multiple times daily is more like it). In fact, it was almost a constant battle to keep up with the elements by re-applying lotion constantly.<\/p>\n

I became a bit of a lotion connoisseur in my quest to beat the weather and keep my skin soft throughout the day. And, of course, some of my very favorites became the simplest DIY recipes out there. I\u2019ve always been a huge fan of the idea of “feeding” my skin just like I feed my body, and would much rather put moisturize with an avocado mousse than a chemical-laden cream<\/a> from the drugstore.<\/p>\n
