Well, actually I\u00a0 have several opinions on that subject but another time&#8230; Just so you know, these petrochemicals are used for things like <span style=\"font-style: italic\">anti-freeze<\/span> (in your car battery), <span style=\"font-style: italic\">polyurethane<\/span> (plastics) and as an emollient in your moisturizer, lipstick, foundation, etc&#8230; you get the picture.<\/p>\n<p><strong> THIS IS A BIG DEAL<\/strong>&#8230; In collaboration with Lyle Bioproducts, DuPont have just released a new <a href=\"http:\/\/www.duponttateandlyle.com\/products_zemea.html\" target=\"_blank\">corn-sugar based glycol <\/a>alternative to the petrochemical by-product currently used for cosmetics. Certified natural by French certification body <a href=\"http:\/\/translate.google.com\/translate?hl=en&amp;sl=fr&amp;u=http:\/\/www.ecocert.com\/&amp;sa=X&amp;oi=translate&amp;resnum=1&amp;ct=result&amp;prev=\/search%3Fq%3DEcocert%26hl%3Den%26sa%3DG\" target=\"_blank\">Ecocert,<\/a> this quantifies the ingredient has <span style=\"font-style: italic\">95% natural<\/span> and <span style=\"font-style: italic\">10% organic<\/span> composition. As well, the production of this new ingredient known as <a href=\"http:\/\/www.duponttateandlyle.com\/products_zemea.html\" target=\"_blank\">Zemea<\/a> (presumably after the generic name for corn which is zea mays), leads to a 50% drop in greenhouse gas emissions as well as a 40% reduction in the use of petroleum.<\/p>\n<p>One day at a time, one step at a time &#8230; what an <em>amazing<\/em> leap forward for the whole beauty industry.
