If you love, and are comfortable, being on the water than kayaking is a fun cardio activity for you. In most cities, typically through the parks and recreation department, there are kayak rentals available. There are also independently owned rental locations for kayaks that offer classes, instruction, and guided tours. A lot of these tours run upwards of 7-8 miles making them a fantastic cardio and upper body workout. The twisting motion involved with paddling also gives your abs a workout comparable to crunches. Kayaking.com is a nice online resource to learn more about kayaking and meet people who are passionate about the sport.<\/a><\/p>\n
