MADARA first crossed my radar on Love Lula<\/a>, the London-based natural cosmetics shop.\u00a0 The clean, sorta funky, label just screams modern skincare and that always gets my attention.\u00a0 I must admit, though, that I had not tried the line until recently.<\/p>\n

MADARA <\/a>-Latvian for \u201cwild madders\u201d, a plant prolific in the Baltic meadows- is a line of simple, yet oh-so- contemporary, skincare created in the region by four women stemming from their love of natural lifestyle.\u00a0 And, until recently, not available in the US.<\/p>\n

The first thing I check when a company sends me their products is\u2026you guessed it, the LABELS.\u00a0 Once those check out I move on to actually sampling the products.\u00a0 Well, MADARA\u2019s labels did (check out).\u00a0 Full of plant ingredients and none of the nasties.<\/p>\n

Though the ladies of MADARA firmily believe that \u201clove of life\u201d is the best secret to beauty, they also realize that skin needs external care too.\u00a0 They offer a three step guide to skincare:\u00a0 cleanse, tone, and moisturize.\u00a0 Simple, right?<\/p>\n

I sampled three products from the line.\u00a0 First up, Deep Purifying Foam <\/a>facial cleanser.\u00a0 This product is made for all skin types and, though I rarely use a foamy cleanser on my dry\/sensitive skin, this one was perfect after a workout and did not cause any irritation.\u00a0 Super mild and gentle.<\/p>\n

Next up, Deep Moisture Cream <\/a>for dry to very dry skin.\u00a0 Bingo!\u00a0 This cream really does the trick on providing moisture to dry skin without being greasy.\u00a0 And the smell is subtley grassy without being at all overwhelming.\u00a0 Both of these products come in a pump bottle to maintain freshness.<\/p>\n

MADARA also sent Moon Flower Tinted Fluid <\/a>from their DecoFace line.\u00a0 Provides light, natural color to skin with mineral pigments and just a hint of moisture.\u00a0 More subtle than a foundation and the light Moom Flower was perfect for my fair (pink undertones) skin.\u00a0 The line also carries a Sun Flower for those with yellow undertones.<\/p>\n

The next product from the MADARA line up that I would love to try is the Flower Dust Shimmering Lotion<\/a>, which Rachel Zoe apparently dies for as spotted on The Zoe Report<\/a>.<\/p>\n

MADARA products are certified by ECOCERT <\/a>and are made with flower and herb extracts from the Baltic region.\u00a0 Packaging is environmentally friendly and products are never tested on animals.<\/p>\n
