When in fact the chemicals found in lotions, makeup and hair dyes are something I need to consider when using these products on my body. \u00a0\u00a0Recently I have been using the eyelash extensions from \u201c<a href=\"http:\/\/xtremelashes.com\/\">Xtreme Lashes<\/a>\u201d and I began to wonder how safe this new affection with eyelash extensions really was and was it worth any risks involved?\u00a0 After researching, I was able to find one of the ingredient\u2019s in the adhesive, \u201cformaldehyde\u201d linked to cancer.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>1.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 What is F<a href=\"http:\/\/www.cancer.gov\/cancertopics\/factsheet\/Risk\/formaldehyde\">ormaldehyde?<\/a> <font color=\"#4d4d4d\">Formaldehyde is a colorless, flammable, strong-smelling gas. It is an important industrial chemical used to manufacture building materials and to produce many household products. It is used in pressed wood products such as particleboard, plywood, and fiberboard, glues and adhesives, permanent press fabrics, paper product coatings, and certain insulation materials. In addition, Formaldehyde is commonly used as an industrial fungicide, germicide, and disinfectant, and as a preservative in mortuaries and medical laboratories.<\/font>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>In my research I was able to find that \u201c<a href=\"http:\/\/xtremelashes.com\/\">Xtreme Lashes<\/a>\u201d adhesive\u2019s carry 0.001% formaldehyde which is an insignificant amount.\u00a0\u00a0 The primary ingredient in &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/xtremelashes.com\/\">Xtreme lashes<\/a>&#8221; adhesives is the same ingredient used by plastic surgeons in the US to close skin wounds without stitches.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>In comparison \u201c<a href=\"http:\/\/www.novalash.com\/\">Nova Lash<\/a>\u201d\u00a0 is the only American made pharmaceutical grade extension developed by a team of chemists and physicians.
