In summary, the collections exude an understanding of classic shoe making, but with a passion for modern techniques and materials.<\/p>\n<p>The company makes many different types of shoes, but the <em>Terra Plana<\/em> collection is the most traditional \u201cgreen\u201d and design students are paying close attention. Features to expect:<!--more--><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Light Weight<\/strong> -Essential for manufacturing and shipping, not to mention a load off your feet!<\/li>\n<li><strong>Flex<\/strong> -Flexibility to work and walk comfortably.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Vegetable Tanned<\/strong> -A natural alternative to Chrome tanning for beautiful colors.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Local Sourcing<\/strong> -Minimized transportation with local materials to manufacturing facilities.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Recycled<\/strong> -From old coats to parachutes, salvaged materials are incorporated into designs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/feelgoodstyle.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/05\/terraplana-siegfried.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-2422\" src=\"https:\/\/feelgoodstyle.com\/files\/2009\/05\/terraplana-siegfried-300x202.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"202\" srcset=\"https:\/\/feelgoodstyle.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/05\/terraplana-siegfried-300x202.jpg 300w, https:\/\/feelgoodstyle.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/05\/terraplana-siegfried.jpg 400w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>Pictured first is <em>Doll Veg Tanned Leather<\/em>, with kitten-heel height and a natural latex driving sole using vegetable tanned leather and recycled foam foot beds. The men\u2019s <em>Siegfried<\/em> follows as a casual shoe with an adjustable Velcro\u00ae closure made from vegetable tanned leather. This shoe has a rubber sole made from recycled products for extra comfort and protection. A recycled mesh liner is infused into the upper to maintain a very nice secure fit.<\/p>\n<p>Barefoot collections are primarily about healthy feet, which brought about two additional design concepts: <em>Vivo Barefoot<\/em> and <em>Dopie<\/em>. The benefits of going barefoot are interesting. <em>Naked shoes for naked people<\/em> is the <em>Dopie<\/em> description. It\u2019s the most minimal and innovative footwear possible, designed by Matthew Harrison, yet focused on the overall footprint of manufacturing more than eco status of materials.
