Last week we talked about natural household cleaners. This week\u2026laundry detergent.<\/strong><\/p>\n Laundry soap and dishwasher detergent are two areas where I have had little luck in finding a suitable natural alternative. I just really like soft clothes and towels, and dishes that are squeaky clean and shiny.<\/p>\n Once again, Gaia came through for me in the laundry area. Still using, and loving, the All Purpose Cleaner<\/a> I told you all about last week. This week I\u2019ve moved on to the Laundry Detergent<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0they sent me to sample. \u00a0This stuff is super concentrated. I used a whole 2 tablespoons in an extra large load, so it\u2019ll last a loooong time.<\/p>\n My Gaia Laundry Detergent\u00a0Experience:<\/strong><\/p>\n So I washed a load of towels using the soap and (recommended) distilled white vinegar as fabric softener. I was skeptical because my past experiences with a natural laundry soap\/vinegar combo have left my towels crunchy and not at all fresh smelling.<\/p>\n I was pleasantly surprised with the outcome. My towels were soft. Not Downy soft, but still. And they smelled decidedly fresh. I kept taking big whiffs to make sure and, yep, they smelled seriously fresh. Like they\u2019d been taken-off-the-line fresh. Oh ya, they were clean too.<\/p>\n If you are still on the search for a laundry detergent\u00a0that is all natural, really works, and smells good, I recommend giving Gaia a try.
