So we talked about one of my new natural beauty faves last month, Lip Luster from Osmia<\/em><\/a>. Oh. My. Goodness. This stuff is so good at its job. And what, exactly, is that? Making the skin soft, smooth, and youthful looking.<\/p>\n So I started using this serum at night last month, right after Osmia sent me out some samples. I liked how my skin still felt supple and hydrated even when I woke up the next morning. Not a small feat for someone with dry skin type in the Midwest winter.<\/p>\n Then I also began using it in the mornings, after I workout and wash my face. One evening I glanced in the mirror and noticed how dewy and alive my complexion looked. It certainly was not due to the excess sugar, later nights, or extra caffeine of holiday break. Nope this was all Osmia\u2019s doing.<\/p>\n Here is how I use this ever lovin\u2019 product:<\/strong> After cleansing apply your usual moisturizer, then pat a tiny amount of the serum into skin. This oil combo is very hydrating and you seriously only need a bit. Like, I\u2019m talking half a pump here.<\/p>\n Why on top of your moisturizer? Isn\u2019t a serum usually applied before moisturizer?<\/em><\/p>\n Often, yes. But oils are different. Gel type serums are best patted onto clean skin, pre moisturizer. But facial oils are a different deal. As my friend Ellen Holder, creator of B-leaf Botanics<\/strong><\/a>, told me – Oils don\u2019t moisturize, they hold moisture in.<\/em> So\u2026.if you apply the oil post moisturizer, it will help to keep the hydrating benefits sealed into skin. This works with body moisturizer\/body oil too.<\/p>\n Ok, this post got kind of long. The gist is, I don\u2019t want to be without this product.
