Last week I had the opportunity to attend my very first Wanderlust 108 event and you guys, it was so. much. fun!
Wanderlust Festivals are awesome four-day yoga, dance, meditation, and life events, and we’ve been lucky enough to partner with the Wanderlust folks and attend both Oahu Wanderlust and Tahoe Wanderlust for years now.
Wanderlust 108s are like a mini version of the full festival: held over just one day in a select city, the event features a 5k run/walk, a 90-minute yoga class, and a half hour guided meditation. The event is billed as a ‘Mindful Triathlon.’ And then, in typical Wanderlust fashion, there will be a bunch of good food, music, artisanal vendors, “and many surprises.” Sounds like a pretty good way to spend a Sunday, right?
Not gonna lie, I skipped the 5k, but the yoga class was awesome, and the whole field was just filled with yogis from around the Bay Area. Check out this fun video that captures part of the day on Instagram. I finally got my body to play well with a hula hoop and learned a basic hoop dance from a gorgeous redhead, practiced my new hobby of acro-yoga with my sweetie and some friends, and drank coffee and ate snacks from all the yummy food booths, including Kashi (snack bars!), Ozery Bakery (bread rounds that paired perfectly with my coffee), my favorite superfood drinks from Rebbl, and so much more.
A day after I attended the event, I got an email from the Wanderlust folks announcing a zillion (well, about that) new dates in the US, Europe, and beyond.
