Nothing’s as easy in the summer as throwing on a cute dress and a pair of sandals. Boom, pow, out the door! Long dresses are all over retail shops this summer, but for an ethical fashionista, those dresses aren’t super ideal, right? They’re probably made with new conventional cotton or polyester and produced using sweatshop labor. Not so stylish, if you ask me!
Luckily, you don’t have to hit the big box store to find cute maxi dresses that are just as hip. Vintage pieces may contain some materials that you’re not so keen on buying new, but that impact has come and gone. Now, the best thing to do with those reclaimed clothes is wear the heck out of them, so they don’t end up in a landfill.
The bonus? When you choose a vintage piece, you’re adding something unique to your wardrobe instead of the same dress that every woman is sporting this season.
