When I phased out antiperspirant from my bathroom cabinet years ago, the other options available were less than stellar. I tried brand after brand, each time disappointed in its staying power. But nowadays, it seems I’m hearing about a new, natural deodorant once a month. From rub-on creams to oils to sticks to even making your own with coconut oil, there are all kinds of options in the natural deodorant sphere.
I was recently contacted by Caitlin at Caitlin’s Super Natural Deodorant regarding her deodorant and body spray. The deodorants are made with organic aloe vera, natural extracts, and essential oils. All of the deodorants are vegan and free of aluminum, alcohol, parabens, and artificial fragrances. They are available in three scents: Bergamot & Cypress, Lavender, and Sandalwood. The scents are gender-neutral, working well for anyone.
My husband and I tried the deodorants during a particularly hot and humid week. Since they are sprays, there was a little dampness at first. With the swampy weather of late, it felt refreshing to feel the cool mist before getting dressed. We found all of the scents to be pleasant and light. They didn’t linger for long and dissipated quickly after spraying. Since this product is a deodorant and not an antiperspirant, it doesn’t stop a person from sweating. However, we used the product before hikes, walks, and bike rides, and it kept each of us smelling fresh.
The deodorant sprays are available on the Caitlin’s Super Natural website. They come in 4 ounce bottles and sell for $8/each.
Disclaimer: I received 3 bottles of deodorant spray from Caitlin’s Super Natural for review. The thoughts and opinions are totally my own.
