I always thought the name Portovert was a little off. Sure it means gateway to green or door to green but how many people are going to understand that.
I think it was smart to change the name of the magazine to WedVert which pretty much means green wedding, which is what Portovert is all about. Now it just makes more sense for the common folk that couldn’t pronounce Portovert.
Another change is that WedVert has now partnered with WedShare and eco-designer Yoko Chapman to provide personal wedding website designs matched with the very first 100% carbon neutral wedding stationery line, VERT.
“Portovert LLC., publisher of WedVert.com and the WedVert print magazine,
was launched in 2007 as the first wedding resource to focus completely on
green efforts, helping to prevent the tons of waste produced annually by
weddings. Their “eco-chic” options are geared towards going green without
sacrificing the importance of saving cost and a beautiful end result. Both
Martha Stewart and the New York Post have described WedVert as a leader in
its efforts.”
“WedShare.com was founded in 2004 by Crystal and Jason Melendez, online
wedding planning experts, married couple, and authors of ‘e-Plan Your
Wedding: How to Save Time and Money with Today’s Best Online Resources’.
Since its founding, WedShare.com has become a leading planning resource
and top personal wedding website provider. Its goal is to enable anyone to
create their own unique personal wedding website, and to use the latest
technology to streamline the many planning details with ease and
confidence.”
Now that WedVert.com and WedShare.com have joined forces you can expect to get an extensive wedding planning resource full of green ideas, tips, tricks and vendors to help you plan a fabulous wedding on any budget.
The VERT zero carbon wedding invitation line is made from 100% post consumer waste recycled paper and printed with soy inks.
