Oblation Papers and Press is a unique old-world style letterpress print shop, urban paper mill and fine paper boutique. I found them while researching my green wedding book. They create custom wedding invitations on recycled cotton fiber paper. They also create many other types of beautiful papers, cards, and note cards. I just discovered they have a beautiful selection of holiday cards, stylish, elegant and perfect for a green holiday season’s greeting.
Oblation Papers and Press creates 100% cotton fiber paper (tree-free) out of fabric remnants discarded by the fashion industry. The paper is made by hand, is strong and acid free. The paper is fed through antique presses to create the raised letterpress images.
The results are simply stunning and richly elegant. Suitable for any type of event, extravagant black tie or a simple party in the park.
The envelopes that are paired with the letterpress papers are also eco-friendly made from 100% post consumer waste recycled materials.
Not only are their materials and products eco-friendly so are their lives and business practices. They recycle, use renewable energy, and the ink they use for printing is soy based.
