Natural Remedies: Treating a Sunburn

Make a Baking Soda Spray

baking soda Baking soda helps your skin trap moisture, which is not only helpful in soothing a burn but in preventing peeling later on.

To make your baking soda spray, mix about one teaspoon of baking soda in a one ounce spray bottle full of water. Spritz and let it dry on your skin to help you retain moisture. You can add a few drops of lavender or chamomile essential oil to this mix, if you like. Both of these oils are soothing for your skin. Just remember to give your bottle a good shake before you spray if you add oils, because the oils will float to the top of the bottle after the mixture has been sitting for a while.
