Cellulite. We all have it, hate it, and can’t seem to get rid of it. It is true, women of all shapes and sizes are plagued by dimply skin. So, what is it and how do you make it look better?
Cellulite is, simply put, fat deposits and fluid retention held in the connective tissues of the skin. Certainly, being overweight makes your chances of having this skin issue greater. But why do so many relatively thin women have dimples on their hips, thighs, and butts?
Though it is not thoroughly understood, scientists believe cellulite has to do with hormones, fragile connective tissue (which is one reason women are more susceptible than men), lifestyle, diet, and genetics. It is pretty much impossible to completely rid your body of cellulite, but there are steps you can take to make it much less noticeable.
Drinking plenty of water and avoiding salty foods, alcohol, and saturated fats are all great ways to help ward off cellulite. Regular exercise keeps skin toned, muscles firmed, and fat to a minimum. A healthy diet is also key in keeping skin looking its best.
Certain ingredients also help to reduce the appearance of cellulite. MADARA Flower Attack Kit (go to bottom for discount code) is designed to firm, tone, and hydrate the skin. But does it work? I recently tried the Flower Attack Kit and was surprised by how great my skin looked with these products.
First of all, let me say that no skincare products alone will get rid of cellulite. You must add them to your healthy lifestyle to see noticeable reduction in dimply skin. That said, the kit does make your skin look amazing. And with shorts and bathing suit season just around the corner, I will definitely keep using it.
The first step is Toning Shower Soap. Use this in the shower to “activate your skin’s cells and prepare them for absorbtion of active ingredients”. A nice, light, gentle cleanser.
Second, Anti-cellulite Cream. After showering with the Toning Shower Soap, apply the cream and massage into skin. A light, fresh body cream that I sometimes use on its own if my skin is not as dry.
The third step is the Firming Oil. This is said to “deliver active ingredients of the cream deeper into the skin”. The kit comes with detailed instructions on how to massage the oil into each part of your body. It takes around 10-15 minutes and is my favorite part of the plan. It feels so pampering. The oil has a light citrus scent and leaves your skin silky-soft and smooth all day. My dry skin even remains hydrated until the next morning, no small feat.
The key ingredients in the products are Baltic horsetail, Hawthorn, Horse chestnut, Algae, Caffeine, and natural vitamin E. Caffeine is known to have a tightening effect on skin and vitamin E is richly hydrating and reparative. These ingredients are used to promote splitting of fat cells, eliminates toxins and stimulate lymphatic drainage. Consistent use is said to reduce the appearance of cellulite in 4 weeks.
The kit leaves skin ultra-hydrated and looking more toned. The most noticeable thing for me was that my skin had a different color, a soft glow. Possibly from the massaging, which stimulates circulation, and the deep down hydration.
