Last Friday I reported on Bid to Save the Earth charity auction and luxury eco-jewelry line John Hardy. This Earth Day I have something very special lined up for Feelgood Style readers…A closer look inside the green initiatives of John Hardy Head Designer and Creative Director Guy Bedarida and supermodel Angela Lindvall + a very exciting giveaway!
Guy Bedarida has paired up with supermodel, muse, and environmentalist Angela Lindvall to create three green initiatives, furthering their efforts toward improving the environment. And they want your help.
The Green Initiatives
- A new jewelry collaboration between Angela Lindvall and Guy Bedarida called Hijau Dua, which means “green” in Balinese. The collection features beautiful recycled sterling silver pieces – gorgeous cuffs, rings, earrings, and pendant necklace. All light, airy and decidedly feminine. Proceeds from the Hijau Dua collection go to John Hardy’s Wear Bamboo, Plant Bamboo program.
- The pair has also released an exclusive behind-the-scenes video of Angela’s recent trip to Bali, documenting her efforts to the green initiatives. Check out the Angela Lindvall/John Hardy video on You Tube to learn more about their Bamboo Initiative.
- Another way John Hardy is doing its part in protecting the environment is through their eco-friendly packaging. Their anti-tarnish envelopes are 100% recycled and recyclable.
At John Hardy they are definitely walking the talk and getting their hands dirty. Planting bamboo offsets emissions generated by their manufacturing operations. Bamboo grows quickly, is long-lived, prevents soil erosion, and provides habitat for wildlife. The John Hardy Bamboo initiative offers these sustainable, eco-friendly attributes to the world and the people of Bali, who work to help plant the trees.
