I was so excited by the gorgeous, sophisticated packaging that I immediately ran to the bathroom and all but simultaneously smeared the four products on my face to see what would happen. First I noticed the aroma. Unlike the heavier scent of their hair care, the skincare line is light, floral but not overpowering, reminding me of lilac bushes. The serum almost smells like strawberries. The mist is refreshing and is designed to make the product go farther and thereby last longer. The cleanser is creamy; it doesn’t lather, but it effectively removes makeup, dirt, and oil without leaving my face feeling overly dry and tight. The moisturizer is light and I use it as a day cream, because the serum is completely sufficient as a night oil.

But of course, I’m not necessarily going to fall in love with a new skin care line just because it smells pretty and feels nice when I put it on. I was hoping it would work, although I wasn’t really sure what that meant or what “working” would look like. Fortunately, my husband handed me the answer.
