Recently, a reader asked about how to get smooth feet. This is not just a wintertime problem. Rough, dry, scratchy feet seem to be a year ‘round issue. Summertime can give feet a workout, and with sandals and flip flops being footwear du jour, it is extra important to have smooth and pretty feet.
Have you tried the Ped Egg? Well, rough feet have always been a dilemma of mine. And I did purchase one a couple of years ago. The thing I have found with this tool is that the razory edge (to be used with caution…seriously!) does not do that much to help get rid of the calluses and dry spots. But, if I use the sandy side consistently – every other night or so – and then remember to lotion my tootsies at bed time, they really do stay much softer.
Here is a little diy recipe for you to try. Combine a small dish of organic sugar (1/4 cup-ish) with enough organic milk to make a paste. Now you have yourself a very effective scrub. Works great on the face and body too, just be sure to buff gently. You can also add a bit of honey if you’d like, to make use of its healing and softening properties.
These are my favorite ped-smoothing tricks. Simple and inexpensive. What could be better? Now choose a pretty natural polish and you are set.
If you have ped-perker-uppers of your own we’d love to know about them!
