Green Diva’s Guide to Fresh Style: Becoming an Eco Bag lady

Green Diva Meg - Eco Bag Lady
Okay, first of all I have to point out that while my colleague, Rodney Pate is a phenomenal photographer and artist, this may be his one and only flawed photo . . . I’m not svelt, but I swear I’m not that fat!

But of course, it is really all about the bag . . . that part of the photo actually works extremely well.

I’m loving this bag that came from (psssst, they’re having a sale!). It has become my de facto brief case that I stuff with all the various things I think I can’t live without during my long days at work.

This bag has a slightly sexy green message, which always makes life a little more interesting. But, what’s really interesting about this bag is that it is made from recycled cotton and it is not unreasonably priced @ $14.99.

Find this bag and others like it . . .

I have collected at least 50 various types of eco bags – ones for shopping, ones for style, ones for work. Some made from reclaimed road materials such as billboards, tires and car parts; some made from trash; some made from discarded sail cloth (for the yachting set); some made from recycled bottles; and some like this one made from recycled cotton.

As a budding eco bag lady, I can say that some bags hold up better than others – this one is extremely solid. My dog and I have abused it terribly and it still looks great, even with the extra golden retriever hair that helps identify the bag (and almost everything I own) as uniquely mine.

Check this bag out on EcoBags Design and see what else they have to offer. They’ve got some sales going on . . . could make some great holiday gifts . . .

Look for a Green Diva Eco Bag Lady round up of my favorite bags of ’08 soon!

GO OBAMA! Phew . . . we needed that . . . I’m inspired, you?
