Have you heard of Wal-Mart’s new makeup line aimed at 8-12 year old girls called geoGirl? Before you go all Toddlers & Tiaras on it, there is some method to this madness.
I have a daughter who is 8 and she does love to play in my makeup, and I did too when I was 8. Most little girls do. Of course there are limits. It is ok when she is playing with friends but not when she is going to school, for one And while my little girl gets to experiment with nontoxics, not all are so fortunate.
This line is said to be all-natural, though I have not yet gotten my hands on an ingredient listing. If so, this is a great idea. They have their own makeup, to put in their own little kit and caboodle. Not messing with mom’s stuff, get to choose their own shades, and it is good for them. Well, hopefully it is good for them. I’ll let you know after I read the labels. For now, I am off to Wal-Mart.
