Fall is almost here, y’all! I love fall colors, and I love painting my nails. Check out these fall nail colors for the eco-fashionista.

You know we love a good nontoxic nail polish, and since I’m vegan I also look for beauty products that are not animal tested. Veganism is about more than what you eat and drink. It’s a whole lifestyle centered around the idea that animals shouldn’t have to suffer or die for you, if you can avoid it. Choosing cruelty-free fall nail colors are a vegan beauty no-brainer.

OK, so confession time: I am kind of new to this whole painting my nails thing, so I’ve been slowly building up my color arsenal and getting used to what makes a good polish. Those cheap polishes at the drug store aren’t just more toxic – they kind of suck. They go on gloppily and chip easily, so you end up using more polish in the long run. I can’t tell you how many times I have had to totally redo a home manicure because my cheap polish just didn’t go on evenly.

Not too long ago, though, I decided to splurge on some pricier polish, just to see why they cost twice as much. I chose OPI in You Don’t Know Jacques, and you guys – I am a convert! My sister has also hipped me to the brand Zoya, which is another nontoxic, vegan polish that works a whole lot better than those cheap drug store brands.

Another confession: I am hopelessly devoted to Pantone. I wait eagerly at the end of each year for them to announce the Color of the Year, and I even bought my son a Pantone Colors baby book (yes, this exists, and we read it all. the. time). So! When I was wondering what fall nail colors I should be stocking up on, I obviously turned to Pantone for guidance.

First of all, I was pretty pumped that the OPI polish I’d just bought was part of this fall color pallet, and I’m pretty excited about the whole fall rainbow they’ve got happening here!
