Last week I wrote about my first days on the Dr. Natura Colonix cleanse. Today I will take you through the second week of my cleanse experience.
On week two you are to double your intake, i.e. four capsules and a whole scoop of the powder. I was ok with half of that, but definitely have to eat something very soon after taking this new doubled-up amount. Remember, you take the capsules and powder first thing in the a.m. on an empty stomach.
In short, I really have not noticed a significant difference in any way, but do not feel that unrelenting fullness of the first few days. I do not feel especially cleansed or energetic and have been following the plan to a tee. Well, until today that is.
This morning when I awoke I had such a horrible pain right in the middle of my stomach. I think this was because all of the water I have been pouring into my system is stressing my system. Once I went to the bathroom the pain wore off in 10 to 15 minutes. I felt like my body needed the day off, so did not take my daily dose of the Colonix herbal capsules or powder drink. I do plan to pick up where I left off tomorrow.
Like I reported last week, the cleanse recommends that you consume eight 8 ounce glasses of water each day of the cleanse on top of whatever else you drink. I drink two cups of coffee, two glasses of milk, and a glass of carrot juice each day. So, this amount of liquid is ALOT and, yes, does interrupt my sleep.
You may be wondering what this cleanse is doing to my “system”. As far as elimination goes, I am probably going less — skipping every other day or so. Hopefully skipping a day of the program will not make that issue worse.
Right now, no real advantages or disadvantages are apparent with the cleanse. Maybe next week I will feel totally refreshed, who knows, this is only week two of a four week cleanse. And I am not disappointed. I mean, I would much rather have little to no effects than feel sick or have to be near a bathroom at all times. I just wonder how many toxins are really being eliminated from my system. Could the same results be achieved by simply drinking all of these fluids? And are all of the fluids really good for you?
Sorry that this week’s colon cleanse update is not very exciting. I hope I have more to tell you next week…I think.
