4 Winter Beauty Tricks You’ll Love

Winter Beauty Tricks by Shandi-lee

Winter, and the dry and often irritated skin that comes with it, presents new beauty challenges. Redness, chapping, dullness, and flyaways are issues we all face this time of year.  I’ve come up with a list of winter beauty tricks to help you through the season.

Adding a few products to your regimen, or using some you already have in new ways, will keep you gorgeous and glowing straight through the chilly season.

Here are my winter time go-tos:

RMS Beauty Living Luminizer ~ In summer months I like to highlight my glow by using this on cheek, brow, and collar bones. This time of year that glow may be long gone, but under eye circles make an appearance. Paler skin just seems to enhance these little devils. Try dotting a luminizer under eyes ( apply on top of concealer) to reflect light and brighten this area. You will be amazed at the difference this tiny trick makes.

Balanced Guru Balm Me Up ~ A good balm is a must have this time of year. And I am talking straight up balm here, not cream. Use it to treat chapped or cracked skin on hands and feet, dry skin on face, itchy areas on body, and even chapped lips. I just got acquainted with Balanced Guru (full review coming soon) and love this balm. Smooth as silk and works like a charm. I apply to hands and lips right before bed.

100% Pure Super Fruits Eye Balm ~ Because this is a balm rather than a cream, it is perfect for treating the eye area over night. I’ve also found it works well on eczema and totally rehabilitates under nose redness due to constant blowing.

Body Oil ~ Investing in a good body oil will save your skin this winter. It is so much better at combatting dryness than lotion, and protects skin too. I’m currently using straight Jojoba Oil, but am awaiting the arrival of Osmia Organics Sunset Body Oil. Yum! Once you’ve applied to your body, run your hands over the ends of hair to smooth flyaways.
