3. Thank You, Honey!
Finally, my last quick fix for naturally beautiful skin on vacation is a sweet little mask made of one simple ingredient that can usually be found in your hotel’s restaurant: honey.
While you may think a honey mask just sounds sticky and annoying, the therapeutic properties of using honey on your skin might even outweigh the taste advantages.
It has been shown that honey possesses anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial and antioxidant properties, making it an effective facial treatment to cleanse your skin and lock the moisture in. Honey also has anti-irritant properties which can help to soothe sun-baked and irritated skin, for those days when your face has seen too much sun.
Simply rinse your face with warm water to open up the pores, apply the honey to your face and leave it for 30 minutes. After your time is up, rinse your face with warm water, then again with cool water to close your pores, and dab your skin dry.
This simple and sweet mask will leave your skin feeling hydrated and supple, and its antioxidant properties will help to combat free radical damage which can come from too much exposure to the sun.
Naturally Beautiful Skin Anywhere
While a vacation is a time to unwind and simply relax, you don’t want to forget about protecting your skin while you are out frolicking in the sun. Whether you diligently pack your suitcase and double-check everything, or you’re like me and forget to pack your everyday necessities, you can find all the ingredients you need for clean, healthy, and naturally beautiful skin no matter what sunny destination you may be in! The key is knowing what to look for.
