DIY Beauty: 4 Tomato Beauty Recipes

tomato face scrub

1. All Natural Tomato Scrub

The acids in tomatoes help gently exfoliate your skin, but you can give your tomato a scrubby boost by adding sugar to the mix!

Using a face scrub once a week or so helps slough away dead skin cells that can clog pores and cause breakouts. You do want to be careful not to exfoliate too often, though. Daily exfoliating can dry out your skin and cause irritation and redness. How often you should exfoliate depends on your skin type. Once a week is a good place to start, and you can always do it more or less, depending on how your skin reacts. If your skin feels tight after exfoliating, you should probably do it less frequently or follow up with an organic or homemade face moisturizer.
