3. Coconut Oil Lotion

Coconut oil provides some much needed moisture for our skin, and sunburnt skin is especially in need of a moisture boost. This quick and easy recipe, found on Little House Living, combines coconut oil and Vitamin E for a moisture packed lotion to help relieve the burn, start the healing, and quench damaged skin. You can add drops of your favorite essential oils like soothing lavender or chamomile for an added scent and relief boost.

Finally, TipNut provides a list of easy one-ingredient fixes to help the burn.  Everything from cornstarch to potatoes to mustard can be utilized to relieve a burn, so you’re guaranteed to have something in your pantry to aid in the healing process!

What are some of your own tried and true sunburn relief methods? Do you seem to always get a burn every summer no matter how diligent with the protection you are? I would love to hear about some of your own recipes and ways you help to speed up the sunburn healing process! Feel free to leave any recipes, links, tips, or suggestions.
