What’s Your Winter Skin Routine?

oil

3. Moisturizing

Moisture! Moisture! Moisture! It’s the word of the season. There is such a lack of it during these upcoming months, so it’s important to replace it. If you want a simple moisturizer, try replacing your usual moisturizer with a facial oil. They moisturize beautifully without clogging pores and soak right into your skin leaving it soft and supple. The facial oil is a great product to use at night after your cleansing routine so that it has time to be absorbed into your skin. One of my favorite facial oils is the Weleda Almond Soothing Facial Oil, it isn’t overly greasy and makes my skin baby soft. In the morning, you’ll want something a little less oily but just as moisturizing. Also, even though it’s winter, sunscreen is still key! A great product is the Alba Botanica SPF 30 sunblock for face. It isn’t too heavy, absorbs quickly, and keeps my skin moisturized and protected all day.

Changing your skin routine doesn’t have to be a big production. There are just a few minor adjustments that need to be made so you can maintain your glow through the dreary and cold season. So, what’s your winter skin routine? Do you have any favorite products or recipes that you rely on to get your skin through the harsh winter months? I would love to hear some of your ideas and routines! Feel free to leave any comments, questions, or links.
