Pretty Organic Cosmetics for Spring

With spring right around the corner, those cozy darks sweaters and jeans of winter are starting to seem pretty drab.  Brighter colors add some zing to your spring wardrobe.  But have you noticed what they do to your skin?

As with our clothes, we tend to gravitate toward a winter makeup palette that fits the season and our wardrobe.  Greys, blacks and reds are popular in winter months, but this color scheme seems to wash the face out when paired with springy clothes.

Coral is on the horizon this season, and it is easy to add this hue to your makeup routine.  RMS Beauty Lip2Cheek in Smile adds sheer coral-pinkness to both lips and cheeks, and pure plant oils make this product soft and smooth.  Looking to brighten eyes?  Try Vapour Organic Beauty Mesmerize Eye Color in Charm.  This creamy eyeshadow stick lends a hit of color with the slightest bit of shimmer.  I also love a swipe of Burt’s Bees Tinted Lip Balm in Tiger Lily for a hint of color with a lip balm feel.

Glow always gets the complexion spring-ready, and nothing beats Lavera Summer Glow Self Tanner for Face.  Easy to apply (goes on like moisturizer) and looks super natural — think glow rather than bronze.

If you like to stay away from too much color on the face, try hitting your nails with some spice.  Zoya Nail Polish in Maya is described as a “bright pink coral with tangerine undertones”.  Perfectly yummy for spring!  And Zoya polishes are free from the most toxic nail polish ingredients; DBP, Toluene and Formaldehyde.

Now get blossoming!
