I’m wrapping up my final week of going no ‘poo and I’m excited to continue this routine far into the future. Sometimes it’s hard to get out of your own comfortable routine and stretch yourself to do something new and challenging.
Going no ‘poo is easy, safe, and better for the environment. On the personal side, my hair has never had such great texture! It could never hold a curl or style before and now I have waves for days. The greasy feeling didn’t last very long and now I find that I don’t have to wash my hair as often as I did before. Again, going no ‘poo is a personal choice. It was hard for me to make the switch because I was genuinely concerned about how it would affect the look and feel of my hair. I have found that I’m not alone when it comes to feeling very protective of sorts over your hair. As a woman, it’s something that is a strong personal identifier. I’m really glad that I made the switch though! I was also someone who was always a little bit skeptical that completely natural beauty routine products would be just as effective as their bottled counterparts. I can now, safely say, that the all natural methods are just as effective if not better!
This no ‘poo switch has inspired me to make even more changes in my daily beauty routine. I have some ideas of products that I would like to switch out and try next, but I’m wondering if you have any suggestions?
