Help Give Backpacks and School Supplies to Children in Need with these New Beautiful Clutches for a Cause from Kayu

Kayu has announced their debut collection of handbags for a cause, as they once again share their commitment to children in the developing world.

Kayu is known for their handcrafted bamboo sunglasses, and now now the label is gracefully expanding into clutches. “Like our sunglasses, our handbag collection is based on the tenants of ecology and ethics

Jamie Lim CEO of Kayu shares how each “bag is handcrafted by women’s cooperatives in Asia using traditional techniques, and are made out of sustainably sourced straw and shell.” Lim explains that “Cambodia is one of the poorest countries in the world…That’s why, for every handbag purchased, Kayu donates one backpack and school supplies to a child in Cambodia. One for One.

Similar to Kayu sunglasses which give back by funding one sight-restoring surgery for every pair sold, this collection is also for a cause. The Kayu handbag collection also gives back to those in the developing world by bringing backpacks and school supplies to poor Cambodian children hoping to learn and participate at school.

I simply adore the handmade shell handbags like this mother of pearl handbag and this black lip (recycled) shell clutch. Consider these elegant clutches for your special events and give back to humanity with glamor.
