Pomega5 Oil of Life Cleansing Bar
This round of sampling has me trying out Pomega5 Oil of Life Cleansing Bar which has changed names since I first receive the product for review and is now called the Lemongrass Clarifying Cleansing Bar.
Lemongrass makes more sense because it smells like lemon not pomegranate.
So far I like the scent and the way it foams.
Formerly known as Pomegranate Cleansing Bar. Ingredients have not changed, only the label!
Drawing on centuries of traditional soap-making practices, Tzeira developed this cleansing bar using the most premium ingredients sourced from the Mediterranean. Extra virgin olive oil, precious pomegranate seed oil, herbs, and essential oils of lemongrass and eucalyptus deeply cleanse and purify skin to keep it clear, soft and thoroughly nourished. Irresistibly fresh, this classic favorite is not just a facial cleanser: it’s an experience.
Can be used on face and body Essential oils of myrtle and eucalyptus provide deep cleansing and disinfection Omega-rich olive oil moisturizes; pomegranate seed oil protects and balances Mini bark particles gently exfoliate Aromatherapeutic lemongrass enlivens the senses Long-lasting and lathers beautifully
Sounds great right? Luxury, quality ingredients, with a fantastic aroma – fabulous.
Until you see the price. $18 for one bar of this soap. Yes, $18. They are currently running a special 3 bars for $60.
Are you kidding me?
I have issues paying $5 and $6 for one bar of the all natural and organic soaps that I have fallen in love with- but most of them are well worth it. However $18, there’s no way in hell I am paying $18 for one bar of soap unless it can magically make the excess fat on my body disappear (and if a soap could do that I think plenty of us would be buying it and we’d gladly pay over $18 for it).
As far as I can tell the Lemongrass Clarifying Cleansing Bar is a good product just not worth $18 a bar. If they lowered the price maybe but as of right now this product will not be going on my must have list. Unlike the other soaps I have tried like the Dr. Dobbs Tomato Complexion Bar and the Zum Goat’s Milk Soaps. Those are now on my must have list and I am willing to pay $6 a bar for them, but not $18.
