Green Weddings: What Green Drinks to Serve?

One of the hardest things about planning my upcoming wedding is figuring out what to serve – we want to offer a full bar and local fare, but how far do we have to go to ensure that it’s organic, free range, local and so on…as if we didn’t have enough details to handle in the first place?

Here are three of my favorites that are must-haves at the bar:

  1. Domain Carneros sparkling wines for a perfectly organic toast. So good, it will make you want to raise your glass over and over again. If pink is one of your wedding colors, try the Rose…actually, try it even if pink isn’t one of your colors. Forget cake tasting, you’ll want to check out these sparkling wines for yourself. In December 2007, they received organic certification of all Estate vineyards by the California Certified Organic Farmers (CCOF). Cheers!
  2. Square One Vodka will make anyone who prefers mixed drinks or good vodka to champagne and wine happy.
  3. Veev offers a great twist in mixed drinks and is refreshing on it’s own.

Try this VeeV recipe for an Acai Julep out to mix things up:

  • 2 oz VeeV
  • 0.25 oz of kiwi puree
  • 0.25 oz mint infused simple syrup
  • fresh sprig of mint

Combine all ingredients, shake well and serve over ice in a low ball glass.
