We get offered products to review EVERY day — some rather large and expensive things like cars, which are fun reviews, but most are practical, every-day things. We have gotten backed up with a nice bounty of great things we chose to review and play with, and finally spent some time focusing on most of them.

Our feature interview was with Prince Lorenzo Borghese, who talked about his love of animals and how he developed a wonderful line of organic and healthy pet products, The Royal Treatment. Cute right? Yes, Lorenzo is adorable, but I meant the name!
I have only attempted my own seedlings a few times and mostly I suck at it. Usually I don’t get my act together until too late, and for a variety of reasons my seedlings have met with calamity involving a pet, kid or unwitting husband.
We finally got to talk to one of our Green Diva heroes, the beautiful and inspiring actress, author and activist, Mariel Hemingway. She is one busy lady these days with a documentary about her life as a Hemingway, Running From Crazy, and her new book, The Willing Way and many worthy projects in between.
I was the youngest in my family – by 8 years – and thusly spent most of my life trying to catch up. I never loved being the baby all the time, yet always found myself attracted to older people and perpetuating my role as the baby. But this week, the delusion that I was still the baby was finally crushed beneath that mother of all birthdays (at least in my current limited perspective) – 50.
With Valentines Day upon us its pretty hard to escape all those heart-shaped, pink and red candies. While they may seem temping, many of them contain GMOs.
Yes, I am sometimes called an eco-bag lady. From the seemingly endless variety of re-usuable shopping bags to my fun collection of purses and accessories made from up-cycled and sustainable materials.
It is easy to get caught up in the idea of a shiny new car, but I wanted to remember some simple ways we can make whatever car we are currently driving a little greener and save some money while we’re at it!
Had an excellent ramblin holidaze show this week in the Green Divas Radio Show studio and am thrilled we were able to record AND podcast finally!
For me bringing light into these long, cold and dark days means minimizing the commercial aspect and being more thoughtful about what I really want to share, give and how to let my close ones know how much I appreciate them.
We had a great time with Ebru Today talking about getting greener in the kitchen. I kept my tips to things that were relatively easy, low or no-cost or in fact saved money.
Our first guest on November 1st will be the beautiful and definitely green diva, Mariel Hemingway, who recently did a written Q & A with GD Meg about her film project, Stop Monsanto. Expect some serious talk about why GMOs suck and Prop 37, which will be voted on the following week.
Had a great time on Ebru Today talking about how to detox our homes as we prepare to seal ourselves in for the colder months. I focused primarily on cleaning products because I think so many folks don’t realize just how toxic they can be and how important it is, especially when our homes are closed up during the colder season, to try to reduce our exposure to toxic chemicals.
I’m not the craftiest green diva, but I have been so inspired by some of my creative friends lately. Pinterest has become a visual buffet of craft porn and I’ve been having this urge to stop everything, run to Michael’s for supplies and get creative with so much of the old stuff lying around here.
I was introduced to a wonderful new film project that Mariel Hemingway is behind called Stop Monsanto. I’m excited about the film and hope you will be too. I had the opportunity to correspond with Ms. Hemingway about the film and the issues behind it (GMO/GE food).
We all know that taking care of our teeth is very important, and the value of natural dental care is becoming clearer. What makes a health and sustainable smile? Let’s consider tooth brushes, their impact on our environment, and our toothpaste.
I’m not particularly good with insects, but I know they are a vital part of our eco-system. I have spent a lot of time and energy over the years working on making peace with the insect world and finding ways to co-exist. Don’t get me wrong, I REALLY don’t like ants in my kitchen, spiders in the bedroom or other various multi-legged critters terrorizing us inside the house.
What is up with the USDA? Call me crazy, but doesn’t USDA stand for United States Department of Agriculture? Does the USDA only recommend a daily meat diet? What silliness . . . first some thoughtful editor/writer posted a recommendation to consider joining in the Meatless Monday campaign and reduce meat consumption ONE DAY a week […]
We are done celebrating independence day, but I’m still trying to celebrate my independence from toxic summer skincare. Green Diva Juliette did a wonderful post with some great ideas for natural and non-toxic ways to avoid damaging sun AND pesky insects!
We had a little fun this week getting settled into our new Green Divas HQ. In this video, we talk about Green Diva Lisa’s travels, having a relatively eco-friendly move and why I’m celebrating having bats in the belfry!
