In Solvang, California nestled among old oaks and the sycamore grove, is the Alisal Guest Ranch, a working dude ranch opened to the public in 1946 for a little outdoor R&R. Canada’s Olympic athletes are sporting eco-uniforms at the Beijing Games right now and they’re all made with eco-friendly fabrics. The Hudson’s Bay Company created the athletes’ clothing line for the current Beijing 2008 Olympics. All the outfits are materials like organic cotton and cacona, which is derived from coconut.
