DIY Crushed Can Vase

DIY Crushed Can Vase

Here is a DIY that anyone can do. I am certainly not a crafter. And with the serious DIY skills of our own Becky and Bonnie, I am reluctant to even go there. But this is so simple it’s cute.

Create Your Own Crushed Can Vase

This started out as mere convenience. I had just finished digging up daisies at my Dad’s house and a few strays were on the ground. Too pretty not to keep, I gathered them up and stuck them in an empty can from the car.

At home I sat the can on my kitchen window sill until I could grab a vase. They just looked so darn darling sitting there in that yellow can that I had to leave them. And I’ve been using that can as a vase ever since. It just seems easy, breezy summery and more than a little boho. Don’t you think?

So let’s get started…

All you need is the obvious; an empty can and some flowers. Give your can a little crush, add water and flowers. There you go. The possibilities are endless. Kind of reminds me of this porcelain version.
