Clothes swapping is nothing new. From exchanging and loaning out items with our friends and sisters as we grew up, to online swapping of the moment, swapping is a great way to expand your wardrobe without spending the cash it would take to buy new stuff.
Swapdom is a newish (they launched in fall of 2013) swapping community where you can find gently used clothing, accessories, and kids gear. In exchange for something you like, you offer up a piece from your own closet.
What makes Swapdom different is their group mentality and mad swapping skills. No need to price the items you are putting up for swap, Swapdom handles the trade for you by finding the perfect new owner of your old piece. All they ask? You pay shipping and a small handling fee. Easy, fun + enviro/wallet conscious.
Since only around 20% of donated clothing ever ends up in thrift stores, clothes swapping is better for reducing waste too. So swap some of your like new items for someone else’s. New wardrobe, money’s still in your wallet, nothing ends up in the trash.
