Our own Shanley Knox knows a ton about sustainable fashion, and is committed to bringing third world female artisans to high fashion through her Nakate Project. Good work.
Now Shanley has cofounded Olivia Knox, a manufacturing enterprise that raises labor standards and provides regular wages to 40 Ugandan women who work on the designs. Women make up 90% of Uganda’s manufacturing industry and usually make about half of what men earn. This initiative will help to keep food on the table and children in school for these families.
In order to raise necessary funds to get Olivia Knox off the ground, Shanley is running an inspired campaign. Check it out below.
