Safe Markets.org :: New Face of the Environmental Health Movement
Looking for a one stop shop on all things healthy?
New site SafeMarkets.org brings together experts on all aspects of healthful living, providing access to tons of advice on shopping and identifying safe products.
Safe Markets is a collaboration of US based groups and individuals who share an interest in (and know a heck of a lot about) toxins in our products and environment, and how best to avoid them.
Sounds sort of like The Environmental Working Group, you say? Well it is a lot like EWG, only different.
Here is what I like about Safe Markets: the site is super easy to navigate and leads you directly to the source. No roaming through lengthy articles and research studies to find the good stuff. The topics on Safe Markets are clearly outlined and include links to more info.
This website really represents the coming of age of the environmental health movement and our efforts to shift the market to safer chemicals. We’re seeing a huge increase in demand for nontoxic products, companies are paying attention and the market is shifting in significant ways. SafeMarkets.org pulls together the latest news, science and best resources to help people learn about these issues and make the best choices. ~Stacy Malkan, Co Founder of Campaign for Safe Cosmetics and collaborator with Safe Markets
