Royally cool: Inspiration for infants part 2 of 2

I’m so excited by the world’s latest addition, a truly awesome infant. No, not the forthcoming child of HRH The Duchess of Cambridge (reportedly in the throes of labour here in London). I’m incredibly happy for my dear friends, Tim and Christina. Chris delivered a healthy baby girl in Toronto yesterday! So while the world, and its news crew cameras, wait outside St. Mary’s Hospital expecting royal news from the Lindo Wing, I’m writing this post for all new parents and their wee bundles of joy. I hope you enjoy part two in our series on ecofashion for infants and children.

1. The best baby blanket: Milk & Masuki

Milk&MasukiBLANKET

I discovered the beautiful designs and incredibly soft 100% organic cotton baby blankets by Milk and Masuki when I recently travelled to Sydney. Based in the Southern Highlands of NSW, this family run business crafts all their products by hand, and offers exclusive creative designs, like the featured grey feathers print blanket above. Many items are perfect gender neutral gift ideas!

2. The coolest capsule collection: Kate Quinn Organics in Neutral

Kate Quinn’s understated designs bring the comforting softness of pure, organic cotton to classic footie and kimono styles for infants. The accessories have accessible prices and are undeniably adorable. With a commitment to fair trade, organic textiles and clean, modern styling, Quinn supports USDA and GOTS certification with, “…the hope of a cleaner, kinder earth.”

3. The relaxed runway: European style from Mini Rodini

Mini Rodini was started by Swedish illustrator Cassandra Rhodin as a tribute to the imagination of children. Her high quality designs offer unique prints and styles, and a sustainable focus. Mini Rodini desires to, “…make it both easy and exciting for parents to buy better products for their kids in regards to design, but more importantly the environmental and ethical aspects.”
